SUMMARY:Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk - Long Island
DESCRIPTION:For the fifth year running (or should we say walking?)\, Local 342 is a proud site sponsor and participant of the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk.  \nOnce again\, Local 342 will sponsor two Making Strides Walks on Sunday\, October 15\, 2017 at both Jones Beach\, Long Island and Midland Beach\, Staten Island.  At both locations\, Local 342 Members\, Staff and Supporters will host a Local 342 booth with games\, food and fundraisers. And\, of course\, we will walk! \nMany of our annual Local 342 fundraisers are now being planned for Local 342 Members\, friends and family to take place between now and the Walk\, to have fun while we raise funds that we will donate to the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides campaign. These events will include our comedy night\, football night\, raffles\, bingo and more. \nIn 2016\, we raised over $50\,000 for Making Strides and\, since becoming a sponsor in 2013\, Local 342 has donated over $200\,000 to the American Cancer Society for Making Strides.  \nStay tuned to Local 342 and our calendar of events to get involved! And be sure to sign up to WALK with us!  \nMembers: to volunteer\, donate or sign up for to walk with Local 342 on October 15\, you can do any of the following: \n\nTalk to your Shop Steward\nTalk to your Union Rep\nCall the Local 342 Activities Department at (855) 342-8499\nEmail the Local 342 Activities Department at activities@ufcw342.org. \n\n
